Hyderbad Fire Accident: 17 people died in a fire that broke out in Hyderabad’s old town, Mir Chowk, on Sunday morning. Seven people, including three children, were seriously injured in the incident that took place in a building near Gulzar House. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Firefighters are carrying out rescue operations. Police suspect that the accident may have occurred due to a short circuit or gas leakage. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
A massive fire broke out in Hyderabad’s old town of Mir Chowk. 17 people died in the accident. The accident took place on Sunday morning in a building near Gulzar House. A total of four family members were trapped in the fire. There were a total of 30 members in the building. Rescue workers rescued 16 of them. As the fire spread rapidly, 10 people lost consciousness and fell there.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by a fire tragedy in Hyderabad, Telangana. He also wished for a speedy recovery for those injured in the incident. The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF): Rs. 2 lakh will be provided to the next of kin of each deceased, and Rs. 50,000 will be given to those injured.
The Prime Minister’s Office shared a message on X, stating: “I am deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to a fire tragedy in Hyderabad, Telangana. My condolences go out to those who have lost their loved ones. I hope the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the PMNRF will be given to the next of kin of each deceased. Those injured will receive Rs. 50,000.”
