Golden Temple Threat: During India’s recent conflict with Pakistan, the armed forces demonstrated unmistakable bravery and valour by protecting numerous cities in the border states. Drone attacks and other forms of air assault were intercepted and destroyed before they could destroy civil establishments.
The air defense systems of the Indian Army were instrumental in thwarting Pakistan’s escapades. The Army demonstrated on Monday how Indian Air Defense systems, like as the AKASH missile system and L-70 Air Defence Guns, protected Punjabi cities and the Golden Temple in Amritsar from Pakistani drone and missile attacks.
Golden Temple Threat:
“The Indian army anticipated Pakistan’s move to target its military installations along with civilian establishments, including religious places like the Golden Temple, which was the prime target according to information received from the intelligence community,” said Major General Kartik C. Seshadri, GOC (General Officer Commanding) 15 Infantry Division.
“We expected the Pak Army to target Indian military installations and civilian targets, including places of worship, since they have no legitimate targets. The Golden Temple stood out as the most noticeable of these. To provide comprehensive air defense umbrella coverage for the Golden Temple, we mobilized additional modern air defense capabilities,” Major General Seshadri stated. He added that the army soldiers, prepared for such circumstances and attacks, thwarted Pakistan’s air assault on the Golden Temple using aerial weapons, including drones and long-range missiles.
Major General Reaction:
Pakistan launched a huge air assault using unmanned aerial weapons, mostly drones and long-range missiles, early on May 8th, during the dark hours. Since we had foreseen this, we were well-prepared, and our courageous and vigilant army air defense gunners stopped the Pakistan Army’s evil plans, destroying all the drones and missiles aimed at the Golden Temple. Thus, our sacred Golden Temple remained untouched,” Major General Seshadri declared.
The GOC 15th Infantry Division thoroughly described the effects of the Pahalgam terror incident, which led to the start of Operation Sindoor, in which India struck nine terror camps deep inside Pakistani territory. This action sparked a response from Pakistan.
Terror Targets:
Under capable leadership, the nation channeled its ire into Operation Sindoor, carrying out punitive attacks on specific terror targets in response to the Pak Army’s sponsorship of the heinous terrorist attack on innocent visitors, both domestic and foreign. The military struck nine targets. Major General Seshadri informed the media that the Indian Army destroyed seven of the nine targets. According to the Major General, during Operation Sindoor, the military hit numerous locations with ‘absolute precision,’ including the headquarters of terrorist organizations in Bahawalpur and Muridke.

Operation Sindoor Targets:
The Lashkar-e-Tayyaba headquarters and the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarters at Bahawalpur sit near Muridke, which lies close to Lahore. Of these nine targets, India struck Muridke with pinpoint accuracy. We clarified in a statement shortly after the strikes that we purposely avoided targeting any Pakistani military or civilian facilities,” he continued.
When tensions between the two neighbors reached their peak, India’s Air Defence Systems showcased their power by intercepting a large number of drones, missiles, micro UAVs, and loitering munitions, proving their status as a globally deployable defence capability.
