Rajdhani Crash Avoided in Hardoi by Quick Loco Pilot Action

Rajdhani Crash: Today in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, loco pilots were extremely alert and prevented an attempt to derail two trains, which include the Rajdhani Express.


What exactly happened in Rajdhani Crash?
According to the police statement, A few unidentified miscreants connected wooden blocks with an earthing wire to the track between Dalelnagar and Umartali stations at kilometre marker 1129/14 on Monday evening.

Loco pilots’ Immediate Response:
Upon observing the wooden blocks, the loco pilot of a Rajdhani Express (20504) traveling from Delhi to Dibrugarh, Assam, engaged the emergency brake. After removing the blocks, he notified the railway authorities. Following the Rajdhani Express, another attempt was made to derail a Kathgodam Express (15044). Police claim that the loco pilot’s vigilance prevented an accident.


Superintendent Neeraj Kumar Jadaun visited the location on Monday and gave the required directives. Teams from the Railway Protection Force, Government Railway Police, and local police are presently investigating the occurrences, Jadaun said.

Restoration of Rail Services:
According to the media reports, following a freight train derailing at Amalner station in north Maharashtra, the Central Railways announced that it would offer prolonged assistance for the restoration of rail services.

A coal-laden goods train bound for Gandhinagar derailed on Thursday afternoon in the Amalner Nandurbar–Surat segment. The derailment of the locomotive and six wagons blocked the Nandurbar–Surat route, a vital railway link between North Maharashtra and South Gujarat. In response, Central Railway’s Bhusaval division immediately dispatched its Accident Relief Train. Meanwhile, a Traction Rolling Stock (TRS) breakdown team reached the site to carry out repairs. Senior officials from the Bhusaval Division, including the Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer and the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, also visited the location to oversee operations and coordinate the restoration work.
