RGV: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma sparked outrage online after he shared a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter). He uploaded a bikini photo of Kiara Advani from the War 2 teaser, which many users found offensive and objectifying.

Soon after War 2’s teaser dropped, marking Jr. NTR’s 42nd birthday and his Bollywood debut alongside Hrithik Roshan, RGV began posting his opinions on the film. In one now-deleted post, he wrote, “Instead of our countries and societies, if the war between Hrithik and Jr. NTR is on who gets her bk, then 2 will be a b*buster.” The remark triggered heavy backlash, forcing him to delete the post. Although RGV removed the content from his official account, screenshots have continued to circulate widely, keeping the controversy alive.

It is not easy making films of this scale, and we have given our best to make War 2 an action spectacle for people.”
