Bank Holidays in June 2025: With June 2025 looming, those who have bank work in their schedule should keep in mind the calendar of official bank holidays published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Banks will be closed for 13 days this month, including national festivals, state-specific festivals, and off days according to weekly norms. Having these dates in hand in advance will save trips and time in critical financial affairs.


Bank Closures Early in June

Sunday, June 1: Weekly holiday – all banks across the country will be closed.

Friday, June 6: Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi banks will close for Eid ul-Adha (Bakrid).


Saturday, June 7: Principal bank holiday across most states for Eid ul-Zuha, with the closure of cities such as Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Jaipur, and others.

Sunday, June 8: Normal weekly closure in the country.

Mid-June Bank Holidays

Tuesday, June 10: Punjab banks will be closed on Martyrdom Day of Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

Wednesday, June 11: Banks in Shimla and Gangtok will be closed on Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti.

Saturday, June 14: Second Saturday of the month – regular bank holiday.

Sunday, June 15: Weekly holiday for all banks.

Late June Bank Holidays

Sunday, June 22: Weekly holiday – banks closed across the country.

Friday, June 27: Imphal and Bhubaneswar banks will be closed on account of Rath Yatra / Kang Rath Yatra.

Saturday, June 28: Fourth Saturday – banks closed nationwide.

Sunday, June 29: Weekly off as usual.

Monday, June 30: Aizawl banks will be closed.

Online Banking Still Available

While physical branch offices would remain shut on these days, online banking, cell phone banking applications, and ATM services would function as usual. Customers are requested to schedule cash withdrawals and important banking activities in advance.
