The reel brought up topics like gender pay gap, unprofessionalism, and misogyny, and was widely shared by Padukone fans. Netizens observed that Tamannaah had liked the post, and people speculated that she was silently supporting Deepika in the controversy.
Tamannaah’s Clarification
Tamannaah soon came on her Instagram Stories, stating: “Can Instagram pls work out how it likes pages itself? Cause random people are making this news and I actually have work to do.”
Her reaction implied that the like was not meant, perhaps because of a glitch caused by an algorithm or as a result of accidental interaction.
