Udyog Bhawan bomb threat:
On Friday, a serious security alert was triggered at Udyog Bhawan in New Delhi after a threatening email was received by officials at the Ministry of Heavy Industries. The email warned of a bomb planted inside the government building, causing immediate concern.
Udyog Bhawan is located near the Central Secretariat and houses multiple government departments. Due to the sensitive nature of the location, multiple security agencies quickly responded to the situation.
The Delhi Fire Service received a call regarding the bomb threat at 1:01 PM. A team was sent immediately to assist with emergency measures. Along with the fire team, bomb detection and disposal squads were also sent to the spot to thoroughly search the area and ensure public safety.
The police confirmed that the email had reached high-level officials in the ministry. They launched an investigation to find out the source of the message and verify if there was any real danger. As a precaution, the area was sealed off, and operations inside the building were paused until the search was completed.
The situation created tension among employees and security forces, but thankfully, no explosives were found during the initial search. However, authorities remained on alert and continued scanning the area for any signs of danger.
