Rajasthan’s Twins Make History in Class 10 Exams. In a whirlwind of events, Rajasthan’s twin sisters Kanishka and Kartika Chaudhary of Nagaur district have scored the identical percentage of 97.17% each in their Class 10 board exams. Though their results in the remaining subjects are different, the sum of the overall percentage came out exactly to the same figure, leaving the family, educators, and villagers stunned.
The results were declared on the 28th of May, and when both the mark sheets were seen by the family for the very first time, they couldn’t even imagine it. The sisters who had shared their whole life together studying, took the exams together and scored the same marks. The school, Kalpana Chawla International Private School, was flabbergasted with this achievement and congratulated them for their dedication and effort.
Shivnarayan Chaudhary, the father of twins Kanishka and Kartika, is a conductor at Rajasthan Roadways, and their mother Suman Chaudhary, is a housewife.Their parents have been motivating them in studies since then. The twins are presently staying in Sikar, both preparing for competitive entrance exams—Kanishka to be an engineer, Kartika to pursue medicine.
A Village Celebration
The word of their success spread like wildfire, and their village Chhapri Khurd is preparing to give a hero’s welcome reception to the sisters on their return. Other students in the region were inspired by their success; they showed that great things can happen with determination and hard work.
Matching up with similar is not luck—it is evidence of the closeness and kinship of sisterhood. Theirs is evidence of the power commitment, collaboration and collegiality can bring for learning in new and meaningful ways.
