27-year-old Teacher Affair with Minor of age 16

Brooke Anderson, a 27-year-old science teacher at River View High School in Florida, became involved in a romantic relationship with a 16-year-old student who was 11 years her junior. Starting in September 2024, their relationship progressed from phone conversations to secret meetings and intimate encounters in the classroom. When several students observed their interactions, they reported it to other teachers. The school administration took immediate action by suspending the teacher and notifying the police, as well as the boy’s parents. On May 16, the police arrested Brooke Anderson after confirming that she had engaged in sexual activities with the minor. She has since been brought to court and remanded for 14 days.

In a subsequent development, Brooke Anderson was granted bail on a surety of $60,000. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining both her phone and that of the minor boy to review their communications on WhatsApp and other social media platforms. If found guilty, she could face up to 15 years in prison.
