Confirmed Train Ticket Trick:
Booking a confirmed train ticket during busy times like holidays and festivals is often very difficult. Many travelers end up with waitlisted tickets because they book too late. To help solve this problem, MakeMyTrip has introduced a new tool called Seat Availability Forecast.
This feature shows users in advance when train seats are likely to be fully booked. It helps passengers plan their trips better by identifying the dates when confirmed seats will be hard to get. This forecast is available both on the MakeMyTrip app and website while searching for train tickets.
Around 70% of users book waitlisted tickets because they do not book early enough.
The demand for train seats changes week by week.
For example, in April, many high-speed trains were fully booked 13 days before departure.
In May, the same trains got booked even earlier, about 20 days in advance, due to higher demand.
This makes it tough for travelers to guess the best time to book confirmed tickets. The Seat Availability Forecast helps by providing clear predictions based on data.
When booking train tickets on MakeMyTrip, users will see the forecast during the ticket search. It shows how long seats are likely to remain available. This information is based on data science and is easy to understand.
Rajesh Magow, Co-founder and CEO of MakeMyTrip said this feature was created to meet the real needs of train travelers in India. It aims to make booking easier and smarter for everyone.
This new tool makes it simpler for passengers to get confirmed train tickets by showing when seats might fill up, helping avoid last-minute stress.
