Bollywood legend Aamir Khan Aamir Khan Slams OTT and revealed that his next release. He stated that Sitaare Zameen Par will have a theatrical release. And will not be seen on OTT platforms in the near future. The actor, who is famous for believing in cinematic storytelling, has explained why he made this choice.
Aamir Khan feels that some films are best viewed on the big screen. He stressed that viewing a film in a cinema hall provides an experience that cannot be matched by over-the-top streaming services.
The actor was worried about the increasing phenomenon of early OTT releases and expressed that it harms the theatrical business. He contended that releasing a movie online earlier deters people from watching films in theaters.
With speculations that Sitaare Zameen Par might go for YouTube Pay-Per-View, Aamir Khan rubbished the speculations. He said that the film will be released in the theatres and not the YouTube channel, so that the audience might experience watching it as it was meant to be.

Directed by R.S. Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is a comedy-drama sports film about a former basketball coach who has to coach people on the autism spectrum. The film guarantees an inspiring and heartwarming story.
The film stars Genelia Deshmukh as the heroine, and ten newcomers in important roles. Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy has composed music while Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the lyrics. The film intends to balance humor, emotions, and inspiration.
Aamir Khan is hopeful about the magic of cinema and feels that people will turn up to watch a good movie on the big screen. He said, “I believe in theatres. I believe in my audience. If you make a good film, people will come to watch it on the big screen.”
Sitaare Zameen Par will release in theatres on June 20, 2025. Although Aamir Khan has conceded that he does not know what will happen to it at the box office, he is still proud of the emotional and motivational story of the film.
