1. Spicy Food:


Spicy foods like chili and masala items can cause acidity and stomach discomfort. These foods are hard to digest at night and may cause heartburn. This makes it difficult to sleep peacefully.

2. Non-Vegetarian Food:

Non-veg foods like chicken or mutton contain high fat and protein. These take longer to digest. If eaten at night, they can disturb your sleep by keeping your digestive system busy.

3. Coffee:

Many people drink coffee after dinner. But coffee has caffeine, which is a stimulant. It keeps your brain awake and active, making it hard to fall asleep. Experts suggest having coffee only in the morning or afternoon.

4. Tea:

Like coffee, tea also contains caffeine. Drinking tea before bed may affect your sleep cycle. Avoid tea at night for better sleep quality.

5. Junk Food:

Foods like chips, burgers, or pizzas are full of unhealthy fats and artificial additives. They are heavy on the stomach and slow to digest. Eating such foods at night can lead to disturbed sleep and even health issues in the long run.

To sleep well, it is better to eat light and healthy food at night. Avoid spicy, oily, or caffeinated items close to bedtime. Instead, choose warm milk, fruits, or light soups if you feel hungry at night. Good food habits support good sleep, which in turn helps your overall health.
