Fahadh Faasil, Jyothirmayi’s recent psychological crime thriller Bougainvillea directed by Amal Neerad is all set for it’s grand digital debut on this platform

Bougainvillea is jointly funded by Amal Neerad Productions and Udaya Pictures was released worldwide on 17 October 2024 in theatres and received mixed to positive reviews from audience and was declared as a moderate success at box office.

Two months after it’s decent theatrical run the psychological crime thriller is finally all set to make it’s grand digital debut . It will be available for streaming on SonyLIV starting December 13, 2024.

The lives of Dr. Royce Thomas, his wife Reethu, and their kids are chronicled in the film Bougainvillea. Reethu had amnesia as a result of an accident years ago.

Their lives appear to be going smoothly, despite sporadic setbacks brought on by Reethu’s episodes, but things take a turn for the worst when she is named as the main suspect in a string of cases involving missing women. In addition to fighting her illness and facing long-buried secrets that start to come to light, Reethu now has to figure out how to piece together her disjointed recollections and help the police solve the case.

The novel Ruthinte Lokham, written by the film’s co-screenwriter Lajo Jose, served as the inspiration for the film.

Thefilm stars Jyothirmayi , Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Veena Nandakumar in the lead roles, in addition to the main performers, which includes Sharaf U Dheen, Srinda, Shobi Thilakan, Jinu Joseph, and many others in significant roles. Finally the film is making it’s grand Ott debut on  giant ott platform Sony LIV on December 13, 2024 in multiple languages. The film’s OTT release will arrive nearly two months after its theatrical premiere.
