Van Gogh Chair: The ‘Van Gogh Chair’ at the Palazzo Mafia in the Italian art gallery has partially collapsed. A tourist who had come to see the exhibition sat on it and caused it to break. The chair could not support the weight of the tourist and broke. He also tried to fall, but he managed to avoid falling because he put his hand on the wall. The woman who had accompanied the tourist caught him by the hand and saved him. The video of the incident was captured on the security cameras of the Italian art gallery.
This chair, which was kept in the Palazzo Mafia in Verona, is believed to be made of hundreds of Swarovski crystals. The tourist initially pretended to be sitting on the chair to pose for a photo. However, he was actually sitting on the chair. The woman who was with him caught the man who was about to fall. Later, instead of informing the museum authorities about this, both of them ran away. The museum authorities shared the CCTV footage on social media to inform the outside world about the tourists’ irresponsible behavior.
There is also widespread criticism on social media, including that this shows the carelessness, ignorance, and irresponsibility of the tourist who visited the art gallery.
Tourist damages crystal-covered 'Van Gogh' chair in Verona museum after climbing on it for photo.
It's a chair that's not roped off, and i d9nt see a giant sign that says "don't freaking sit on me!"
I blame the museum. pic.twitter.com/T94fbQJc2d

” Every museum’s nightmare has come true, even at Palazzo Maffei.
While waiting for the security guards to leave, some visitors took a “spectacular” photo.
The result? An irresponsible gesture caused serious damage to Nicola Bolla’s “Van Gogh” chair, a very delicate work, entirely covered in hundreds of Swarovski crystals.
For days we didn’t know if it would be possible to restore it.
But we did it.
We are sharing this episode not only for the record, but to start a real awareness campaign on the value of art and the respect it deserves.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the police, our security department and the restorers, whose precious work allowed the work to be recovered.
And a special thanks to all of you who walk through the museum’s rooms every day with care, attention and wonder.
Because art is not just to be seen.
It is to be loved. It is to be protected.
We are waiting for you at Palazzo Maffei.”
