The state government has clarified that 274 people died in the plane crash. DNA testing of more people will be completed today. The DNA results of keralite Ranjitha Nair, who died in the crash, may come out today. Forensic examination at the crash site will continue today.
Meanwhile, the first meeting of the high-level committee formed to investigate the Ahmedabad plane crash will be held today. The committee formed under the leadership of the Home Secretary will evaluate the investigation so far. It will also provide guidelines to further enhance safety in the aviation sector to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. The committee has been given three months to submit a report on the accident.
