Indian students amidst bomb blasts: Begging to be taken home

Indian Students in Iran: Tensions between Israel and Iran are increasing. As the two countries carry out airstrikes on each other, the people there are constantly witnessing hell with the sounds of explosions and sirens. Indian students studying there are especially in a state of panic. They are begging the Indian government to bring them back immediately. They say that there are loud noises due to the explosions and they are living in fear of their lives every moment. They want to be taken back to their country as soon as possible. On the other hand, the parents of the students are also appealing to the government to protect their children.


 

Many Indian students go to Iran to study medicine because of the low fees . Most of them are from Jammu and Kashmir. However, Indian students currently studying in medical universities there are waiting for help. As tensions between Israel and Iran increase, they are all in a state of panic. They want the Indian government to bring them back immediately. They say they are constantly trembling with fear as attacks occur near residential areas.


“The blast took place 5 km from our hostel. There are more than 350 Indian students here . We are extremely scared,” said Intisal Mohiddin, an MBBS student at Shahid Beheshti University. He said that he woke up at 2:30 am on Friday morning after hearing the sound of the explosion and immediately ran to the basement. He said that he has not been able to sleep since then.

Faizan, a first-year student at Kerman University of Medical Sciences, described the situation there. He said that they heard gunshots today . He clarified that they were told to stock up on drinking water. He said that their parents are calling them 10 times a day. The internet is also not working properly. He said that they are living in hell there, fearing what will happen to them because of this. He also said that they came here only for higher education. But now they feel that staying alive is more important.

Faizan expressed his concern that at least they should go home.. the flights have been stopped. He asked the Indian government to understand their problem and take them home safely. However, the Indian Embassy has recently responded to this. It has advised all Indians to stay at home. It has said that they should get information through the Telegram group. It also stated that they are monitoring the situation at all times.. and are in touch with the students. It said that the safety and well-being of Indian students is important to them.

It also revealed that some people are being evacuated to safer places with the help of the embassy. It explained that other options are also being considered, and that until then, students and their parents should exercise restraint. It also clarified that the government will soon take a decision keeping in mind the future of the students.
