School and College Holiday:
After the summer break, many college students are a little disappointed because there aren’t many holidays this month. In this situation, there’s a chance for a holiday this Friday due to a Maoist bandh called in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The central government is currently conducting “Operation Kagar” to control Maoists. Some Maoist leaders have been killed in an encounter with security forces, while some have been captured. Some are still on the run. The Maoists have temporarily halted their attacks and are ready for peace talks, but the central government is not stopping its operations.
This is the main reason Maoists have called for a bandh on June 20 in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Maoists are asking people to support their bandh. Some schools, colleges, and even a few workplaces may be closed due to this situation.
Left-wing parties, student organizations, and many business groups are also expected to show their support. This may enable some workers to enjoy a holiday alongside students.

Security forces, as well as the police, have been put on high alert. Security checks will be enforced on main roads and checkpoints. This may enable some employees and students to enjoy a holiday along with their weekend, adding up to a total of 3 days.
