Lakshmi Manchu’s early elimination from The Traitors India has left fans stunned. In just three episodes, Prime Video’s high-stakes reality show has delivered twists, betrayals, and heartbreak and Lakshmi’s graceful exit stood out as one of the most poignant moments so far.
Known for her powerful performances in Telugu cinema and television, this was Lakshmi Manchu’s first time entering the world of reality TV. And it wasn’t just any show -The Traitors India, hosted by Karan Johar, is built on suspicion, deception, and silent eliminations.
“It was a beautiful experiment I did on myself,” Lakshmi shared in her exit interview. “You begin to question everything-your instincts, your alliances, your trust.”
Unlike other contestants who were banished through votes, Lakshmi was “murdered” by the Traitors, meaning her elimination came without warning or public suspicion. The moment her face appeared during the morning reveal left the other players stunned and visibly emotional.
While she hadn’t been openly accused during the Circle of Truth, her calm and observant nature may have made her a threat in the eyes of the Traitors as someone too trustworthy or perceptive to keep around.
The show has already seen four contestants eliminated: Raj Kundra, Karan Kundrra, Sahil Salathia, and Lakshmi Manchu. Each departure has added fuel to the fire, but Lakshmi’s brought a rare pause for reflection.
“I wanted to step out of my comfort zone,” she said. “And though it was short-lived, I’m grateful I got to be part of such an incredible cast and crew.”
