This Man Just Won a Jackpot Bigger Than Dua Lipa’s Net Worth

The largest lottery prize ever won in Europe was won by a single ticket holder from Ireland who won the EuroMillions jackpot, which is worth 208 million pounds (about Rs 2,120 crore). Confirming the transformative victory, the Irish National Lottery advised players to thoroughly inspect their tickets.

For two weeks, the jackpot had gone unclaimed after reaching its maximum level. This enormous win is the biggest EuroMillions jackpot win in Ireland’s history and its 18th overall. It would have shattered all previous records for the largest EuroMillions winner in the UK if the reward had been claimed there.

Irish Single Ticket Holder:

An Irish single ticket holder won the EuroMillions jackpot by matching the numbers 13, 22, 23, 44, 49, and Lucky Stars 03 and 05. With this massive win, the lucky individual’s net worth now surpasses that of celebrities like pop star Dua Lipa (£110 million) and footballer Harry Kane (£115 million), effectively placing them among the wealthy elite featured in The Sunday Times Rich List 2025.

This win marks Ireland’s 18th EuroMillions jackpot victory, and notably, its biggest one yet. Commenting on the historic moment, Cian Murphy, Chief Executive of the Irish National Lottery, urged players to carefully check their EuroMillions tickets.

Cian Murphy, Chief Executive of the Irish National Lottery, urged players to check their tickets immediately. “If you are the winner,” he said, “please sign the back of your ticket, keep it in a safe place, and contact National Lottery HQ. We will guide you through every step of the claims process.”

He further confirmed that the National Lottery would reveal the winning ticket’s location as soon as possible. “While we have specific protocols to follow after such a significant win,” he explained, “we will disclose the details over the coming days.” Murphy also acknowledged that such an enormous windfall could come as a shock to the winner. “We encourage them to stay calm, seek independent legal and financial advice, and reach out to us immediately,” he added.
