Shahid Kapoor Shares His Journey of Struggles Before Bollywood Success

Shahid Kapoor the heartthrob of Bollywood is currently busy shooting his upcoming film Deva. The actor made his debut back in 2003 with Ishq Vishk and became an instant hit. Ever since Shahid Kapoor never turned his back and has continued his successful journey. Though there were setbacks in his career he managed to overcome everything and stand still in Bollywood and made his name as best actor. But before his Bollywood debut, Shahid Kapoor had his share of struggles.


Shahid Kapoor Struggles

In a recent interview, the Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor opened up about his struggles before making it to Bollywood. Shahid Kapoor said “I knew my dad and had a good equation, but I was with my mother since I was 3. When Ishaan was born, I was 14, and my mom stopped working because she had to take care of him. She was 35-36 when Ishaan was born, and it isn’t easy having a child at that age. And being a working woman with a 14-year-old son, being in Mumbai, it was her second marriage… A lot was happening to her at that time. It wasn’t like she could make a call and get me work. She was trying to get back to work herself, and it wasn’t easy. People just forget you.”

Shahid Kapoor went on and said, he didn’t want to seek his father’s help. “She was struggling to balance all those things, and we were living in rented houses. I didn’t have a relationship with my father where I would allow myself to ask him… Having said that I had a great relationship with him, but I didn’t want to ask… That’s not how I wanted to do it. He was always there for advice and guidance, yes, but I wanted to do it on my own. I was very proud of that. This was the only route for me.” The actor added.


Shahid’s Workfront

Shahid Kapoor has recieved a blockbuster hit with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role. Later he will be seen in Deva directed by Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. Made with a budget of 80 crore, this action thriller is all set to make its theatrical debut on 14th February 2024. This Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde starrer follows A brilliant yet rebellious police officer uncovers a web of deceit and betrayal while investigating a high-profile case.
