International Yoga Day 2025: Activities You Can Participate In India

International Yoga Day 2025: While the rest of the world observes International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025. The country where yoga originated—India—will celebrate it with fervor, vigor, and citizens’ initiative activities. From sun-to-sun yoga sessions at monuments to online yoga competitions, these are the coolest things you can do on Yoga Day across India this year.


1. Mass Yoga Sessions at Public Sites

Mass yoga practice will be taken up in big cities such as Delhi (Rajpath), Bengaluru (Cubbon Park), Mumbai (Marine Drive), and Varanasi (Ghats of Ganga) early in the morning. Thousands of people go to such sites of natural beauty to take part in guided yoga practice under the auspices of professional yoga teachers and yoga gurus.

2. Government Action

AYUSH Minister and States will organize yoga camps, health expos, and yoga competitions. The public sector, schools, and colleges in the country will also organize synchronized movement yoga classes and classes focused on overall health and well-being.


3. Yoga in Schools and Colleges

5. Yoga at Trains and Railway Stations

In a first, Indian Railways is conducting yoga sessions inside stations and even inside some trains, requesting passengers to stretch and loosen up during the journey.

6. Corporate and Community Events

Most of the IT parks, residential complexes, and corporate workplaces will conduct group yoga classes and well-being exercises. Some of them even offer nutrition tips and stress-reduction exercises for a healthy lifestyle.
