Illegal Construction in Mannat: Many online rumors are circulating regarding a purportedly unlawful building at Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat home in Mumbai. While Mannat undergoes renovations, the Bollywood star and his family are presently residing in a flat in Pali Hill. Following an activist’s recent complaint on unlawful construction at Mannat, a group of BMC and forest department representatives paid the site a visit.

Illegal Construction in SRK’s Mannat?
According to the media sources, the authorities have been instructed to investigate any suspected infractions. Mannat is a Grade III heritage building that includes a multi-story extension and a heritage cottage. The officials’ team reportedly met Shah Rukh Khan’s employees when they arrived for the inspection. They allegedly promised the authorities that they would submit all required renovation permits and supporting documentation.

Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh’s manager, responded to the allegations of illicit activity at the location during this time. “There are no complaints.” Everything is proceeding according to the rules. However, a representative of the forest department told the media, “We received a complaint regarding renovation permissions; therefore, a team conducted a site check. Based on the results, a report will be written and sent shortly. It is said that the only reason BMC officials traveled to Mannat was to assist the forest officers.

Mannat Renovation Controversy:
The dispute started when social activist Santosh Daundkar accused Shah Rukh Khan and the Maharashtra government of granting permission for improvements in Mannat. Santosh accused Shah Rukh and the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) of failing to secure the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) and filed an appeal with the NGT. Additionally, he asserted that the actor had committed deception by combining twelve one-bedroom apartments intended for mass housing into a single-family residence.

In 2001, Shah Rukh Khan and his family relocated to Mannat. Villa Vienna was the initial name of the property. Shah Rukh purchased it that same year. Along with his spouse, Gauri Khan, and their children, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, he has been residing in Mannat.
