Prabhas in Kannappa: Kannappa, Vishnu Manchu’s highly anticipated mythological epic, is still generating buzz. This time because of superstar Prabhas’ surprise screen time boost. What started as a cameo of just 5 minutes has apparently turned into a 30-minute appearance, making the movie all the more desirable for fans.
Originally, Prabhas had committed to playing a special cameo appearance in Kannappa to add star power to the venture. His part was originally intended to be symbolic and spiritual, lending gravity to the mythological film. But insiders say the producers spotted a box office opportunity and chose to stretch Prabhas’ role considerably. The final version now includes him for more than 30 minutes, complete with a full-fledged action number in the second half.
While fans are excited to get more of the Salaar star, the additional fight scene has created mixed emotions. Some think it disrupts the spiritual flow of the film, while others believe it provides the type of adrenaline Prabhas is famous for. Either way, it’s obvious that his name alone is being used to draw huge crowds to the movies.
In a show of his relationship with Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas is said not to have taken a single rupee fee for his role in Kannappa. His good words and blessings for the film have been received well throughout the industry. This kind of gesture is unusual, particularly from high-rung stars.

Prabhas’ bigger role in Kannappa may not have been initially written. But his inclusion has certainly altered the destiny of the movie. For spiritual depth or movie magic, his output gives a godly glint to the ambitious venture.
