Shruti Haasan’s X Account Hacked? Cryptic Memecoin Tweets

South Indian singer-actress Shruti Haasan was in the news for all the wrong reasons. This happened after a series of strange, crypto-themed tweets were posted on her official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The series of tweets, which were loaded with memecoin references and promotional URLs, raised widespread speculations that the actress’s account had been hacked by cyber attackers. Until Shruti Haasan speaks out about the controversy directly, fans and followers are left wondering — and scrolling through a bizarre crypto thread no one anticipated.

Shruti Haasan’s X Account Hacked

The posts, with their slang-saturated crypto jargon, made references to obscure memecoins. NFT jargon, and referral links hyping shady “airdrop” scams – a familiar tactic of crypto scammers to entice followers. Followers were quick to pick up on the off-brand tone and questioned the legitimacy of the posts.

“Shruti is too intelligent to fall for all this crypto rubbish,” one commenter said. “Either it is a hack or a publicity stunt.”

No Statement Made Yet
Thus far, Shruti Haasan has not issued any official statement related to the strange activity seen on her X account. Her social media team also has not offered any input, which naturally adds to the speculation.

This would not be the first incident of a celebrity manipulative for crypto promotional reasons. Hackers have previously used celebrity handles like Elon Musk, Narendra Modi, and even Apple’s official handle, in order to attempt to profit from the celebrity’s popularity.

Fan Reactions: Confusion and Concern
Shruti was asked to lock her account down by some fans, while others were more tongue-in-cheek and made memes from the tweets that had no explanation.
“Wake up to Shruti Haasan asking you to invest in dog-memo crypto,” one tweeted.
