Mika Singh recently made headlines for slamming Diljit Dosanjh over his decision to release Sardaar Ji 3, featuring Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. The controversy unfolded when the trailer of the film, which released on June 22, featured Aamir, triggering a massive backlash on social media.
In an Instagram post on June 24, Mika Singh expressed his disappointment, calling Diljit a “fake” singer. Mika accused Diljit of betraying his Indian fans after he performed in India during his Dil-Luminati world tour, which saw thousands of fans purchasing tickets. According to Mika, releasing content involving Pakistani artists without consideration for the national sentiment was a “mistake.”
He also referenced a previous incident involving Fawad Khan’s participation in a film, which faced opposition in India due to his Pakistani roots. “Before releasing any content that involves artists from across the border, they should think twice-especially when our nation’s dignity is involved,” Mika wrote.
However, in his latest Instagram post, Mika softened his stance, acknowledging that everyone makes mistakes. He stated that he was willing to forgive Diljit for his “mistake” if Diljit issued a public apology and removed the “objectionable scenes” from Sardaar Ji 3. “Guys, I understand, we all make mistakes in life. But when we do, there’s one simple word that holds power: Sorry,” Mika said. He stressed, “No hate. Just respect. Desh pehle!” implying that the country’s interests should come first.

Sardaar Ji 3, a part of the popular Sardaar Ji film franchise, has been surrounded by controversy since its trailer release.
