Allu Arjun’s PAN Indian film Pushpa 2 : The Rule was released worldwide on 5 December 2024 and is already breaking  industry records. It recorded the highest opening day collections for an Indian film worldwide, grossing Rs 270 crore and surpassing that of S.S.Rajamouli’s RRR to hold the title.

The action sequel created history by achieving an all-time record opening in Indian cinema. The domestic gross is approximately Rs. 200 crores, and the Allu Arjun’s pan India film broke the day one record in Hindi with a very good margin.

The reports are also positive, but the makers are receiving severe backlash from Telugu audiences due to premium ticket pricing. Usually, if a blockbuster has a decent talk, the hold will be strong on the second day.

However, today’s midday shows for Pushpa 2 in Telugu states are very poor. Although there aren’t many grievances regarding the content, the excessive costs are spoiling the fun.

Pushpa 2 makers swiftly cut prices in main centers after realizing the harm being done. We must ascertain whether the price cut will apply to all regions or just a select few centers. However, the film is likely to earn above Rs. 45 crores nett today due to its amazing grip in the Hindi belt. The film is reportedly released in more than 12,000 screens worldwide.

The ticket price hikes were estimated to be around Rs 354 in single screen theatres and Rs 531 in multiplexes across Telangana, and Rs 324.5 in single screen theatres and Rs 413 in multiplexes across Andhra Pradesh. The price for special premiere shows on 4 December was hiked by Rs 800 across Telangana. Now makers are considering to reduce the ticket prices.

The digital debut of Pushpa 2: The Rule will be on gaint Ott platform Netflix. The film’s streaming platform acquired the digital rights to the movie for Rs 275 crore.
