Monsoon Hair Care: Oiling Tips You Must Know

Monsoon Hair Care: Oiling Tips You Must Know

Oiling Tips: It is very important to take care of not only the skin but also the hair health during the monsoon. During the monsoon, the air becomes very humid. This causes sweat on the scalp. Sweat sticks excessively to the scalp and causes lack of time for proper and essential ventilation of the skin pores.

When the scalp is not washed properly, excessive sweat, oil, and dirt can accumulate. Also, the hair roots become weak and hair fall increases. For these reasons, the scalp always needs extra care during the monsoon.

Oiling is said to be good for the care of the hair and scalp. Oiling increases blood circulation, strengthens the hair, and adds shine. But there are a few things to keep in mind while applying oil during the monsoon.

Oiling Tips You Must Know

Although oiling cannot be completely avoided, excessive oiling during this season is more harmful than good for hair care during the monsoon. The oil accumulated on the head will retain dirt and moisture. These can cause fungal growth or cause dandruff.

It is good to apply a light amount of oil once or twice a week. You can use oils like coconut, argan, and almond oil. Use only a small amount of oil. It is also important to wash it off immediately, without leaving it on for too long. Especially during the rainy season, applying oil can make the scalp oily and itchy.

After applying the oil, massage the scalp with your fingertips. Never apply oil to the scalp when it is sweaty. Then wash it off with a sulfate-free shampoo.
