During her recent appearance at Suma’s hit Chaat Show alongside actor Suhas, Keerthy was asked which among her films she would love to have a sequel. Without hesitation, she picked Uppu Kappurambu to the delight of viewers.

Keerthy revealed that the nature of conclusion Uppu Kappurambu had left a lot of space for a sequel. In a light moment on the show, Keerthy jokingly suggested that the sequel title would be “Uppu Kappurambu Square” and this was received with laughter from the audience as well as fans. Though said in jest, this fanned rumors about the comeback of the film.

Strong chemistry with Suhas

Keerthy and Suhas’s chemistry on screen in the first movie trailer was well enjoyed. Their reunion on the show only served to remind fans of the natural screen presence of the two together. Suhas didn’t dismiss it either, smiling through the interview and hinting suggestively that perhaps something might be in the pipeline. The movie is all set to stream on Amazon prime video from 4th july 2025. This satirical comedy-drama, written by Vasanth Maringanti and directed by Ani I V Sasi. This will be available in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, kannada and Hindi.

No Confirmation, But Hope Remains

Although Keerthy Suresh did not confirm whether a sequel is actually going to take place officially. What she stated indicated that there are discussions internally or, at least, interest on the part of the actors. She mentioned that there are “very good chances” of doing that, which is enough to keep the fans optimistic.
