Experts say that cancer is now occurring more in people under the age of 40. Cancer is more common in people under the age of 40 due to unhealthy lifestyle, environmental factors and delayed diagnosis.
Cancer cases are increasing in people under the age of 40. This trend is very worrying, says Dr. Aditya Sarin, Associate Consultant, Oncology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi. Although genetics still plays a role, Dr. Sarin says that lifestyle changes and environmental factors play a major role in cancer.
Experts say that sedentary habits, chronic stress, increased exposure to hormone-disrupting chemicals, increasing pollution levels and consumption of processed foods all contribute to an increased risk of cancer.
Dr. Aditya said that if the initial symptoms are detected early, the disease can be prevented. Today, breast cancer, colon cancer, cervical cancer, and leukemia are more common in young people. These cancers are more common in people under the age of 40, said Dr. Aditya Sarin.
Early diagnosis and treatment are the key to cancer prevention, and Dr. Sarin says that once symptoms appear, they should not be ignored.
