Simple Tricks to Clean Cooking Oil for Reuse

Cooking Oil for Reuse: We make various kinds of food every day. Oil is added to most of the foods. Using oil while cooking enhances the flavor of curries.

But after cooking, you can see small grains lying in the oil. We reuse the remaining oil without paying attention to this. Reusing oil once used is not good for health. Here’s how to clean cooking oil for reuse and re-purpose.

Strain

After the oil has cooled down well, strain it using a paper towel. This is done to remove the grains that form in the oil after cooking. If you reuse it without removing the grains, it is likely to burn when heated.

Cornstarch

After mixing the oil with the cornstarch, heat it on a low flame. At the same time, the oil should not boil. It is better to stir it with a spoon occasionally. The grains in the oil dissolve by heating it for 10 minutes.

Add lemon

The remaining oil should be heated well. After cutting the lemon into small pieces, add oil to it. This helps the lemon absorb the oil particles and purify the oil.

Do not expose to light

Oil will only remain intact if stored properly. Care should be taken to store the oil away from moisture, heat, and light. Oil spoils quickly if exposed to moisture and light.

Do not store near the stove

For convenience, avoid storing oil near the stove. Oil can spoil if it gets too hot.
