Ayan Mukerji’s War 2 is turning into the most anticipated Indian film of 2025. It brings together two powerhouses Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, for a showdown unlike anything seen before.
While the movie promises intense action sequences, there’s now a surprising twist. The makers have added a dance face-off between the lead stars. Yes, you read that right Hrithik vs Jr NTR in a high-energy dance battle.
According to insiders, producer Aditya Chopra wanted to go beyond the usual formula. “Of course, there are fights and chases,” says a source close to the project. “But now, we also have a full-fledged dance showdown. The outcome will be unlike anything either star has done before.”
The choreography is expected to push both actors to their limits. The crew is calling it one of the biggest and most stylised sequences ever shot for Indian cinema.
War 2 is part of the growing YRF Spy Universe. Previous films like Ek Tha Tiger, Pathaan, and Tiger 3 have already built a massive fan base. Hrithik reprises his role as Kabir, while Jr NTR plays the villain for the first time in this franchise.
After War 2, Hrithik Roshan begins work on Krrish 4, returning to his superhero roots. Jr NTR will move on to Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. Both stars are also being courted for large-scale pan-India projects.

With its mix of action, emotion, and now music, War 2 is more than just a spy thriller. It’s a stage for two of the country’s biggest stars to shine together and against each other.
The film hits theatres on August 14, 2025, just ahead of Independence Day. With Ayan Mukerji directing, expectations are sky-high.
