Currently in a National Award-winning film, Thalaivan Thalaivi, by Pandiraj, the filmmaker recently shared a burgeoning relationship with Vijay Sethupathi for an upcoming project. Vijay Sethupathi About director Pandiraj. ‘We’re never going to work again’.
Vijaya Gurunatha Sethupathi, popularly known as Vijay Sethupathi or Makkal Selvan, is a versatile Indian actor. Also a producer, and dialogue writer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. His journey began in minor roles, eventually garnering breakthrough success with movies like Pizza (2012). And Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012), and Soodhu Kavvum (2013). He is known for unconventional choices of characters, quite convincingly portrayed. With awards such as National, Filmfare South, and several others are to his credit.
As it escalated over minor arguments, Pandiraj stated during the pre-release event that they had reserved each other’s curses. On how their working conditions kept worsening till they both felt it was safer to agree that they would never work again.
This was soon turned upon them when Mysskin threw a birthday party. Both were silent but mingling at that celebration as Pandiraj did not want to approach Vijay Sethupathi. After the cake was cut, however, Sethupathi came to him with a warm hug, saying. “Shall we do a film together?” All differences were cleared in a moment.
Why is this film occurring?
According to Pandiraj, actually writing the script about Thalaivan Thalaivi is because Sethupathi was to star as the lead actor in the film. Immediately upon a short narration of the story and the characters, Vijay Sethupathi agreed to become a part of the project.

This is a family entertainer starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, produced under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films and with music by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is scheduled to release theatrically on July 25, 2025 .
