Top 6 Movie Sequels That Failed: Making a sequel successful is no easy task. Audiences come with sky-high expectations, prepared to rediscover the same magic from the first film. Some sequels though fail entirely on this front, and fans stiffen in disappointment as they attempt to make the die-hard fans swallow the sequels. After the massive success of Gabbar Singh, expectations soared sky high for its sequel. Sadly, Sardaar Gabbar Singh was devoid of the engaging plot and charm of the original. Pawan Kalyan may have had the best star power but unfortunately, the film was weighed down by a predictably stale storyline and fictitious overboard sequences.
Kick was all about sheer pace and entertainment, and if Kick 2 buzzed along like that, then fans would have been more than satisfied. Sadly, the storyline itself was more like a standalone, disconnected screenplay and the same left fans farthest from satisfaction.
While it may passingly be remembered for its witty humour and poignant emotionality, the original Manmadhudu has now been sounded a different note with strange timing and unconvincing absurdity in comedy. Even that much of Nagarjuna charisma was insufficient to save this blunder.
While Enthiran (Robo) made headlines by integrating the ideal blend of science as well as an emotional story, 2.0 leaned heavily on visual effects. Though technically extraordinary, it didn’t have the narrative strength along with connection of the original.

Velaiilla Pattadhari was simple and real. Much was the cast in VIP 2, including Kajol, but does not add anything new to the plot. Fans find that dull and their concept of looking out as repetitive.
Arya has a sweetness in the way the subject is portrayed. Contrary to Arya’s charm, Arya 2 was darker and more psychological. The ending left the audience hanging. Allu Arjun gave a very good performance, but it lacked the feel-good vibe of the first.
