Babydoll Archi Viral Video: Artificial intelligence has advanced significantly in recent years, surpassing its initial use as a playful tool for editing selfies or creating amusing movies for your Instagram reel. Every industry has been affected by it, sometimes positively and frequently negatively. What used to be unusual has become commonplace.

However, the distinction between fake and genuine has begun to become more hazy with each advancement. A terrifying illustration of how this potent technology, when abused, might degenerate into something far more harmful than just another online fad is the recent growth of Babydoll Archi, an Instagram celebrity with over 1.4 million followers.

What is Babydoll Archi Viral Video?

It began with a simple video of a woman in a saree lip-syncing to the Spanish song “Dame Un Grrr,” performed by Romanian artist Kate Linn. The clip instantly went viral. The Instagram account Babydoll Archi rapidly gained popularity, flooded users’ feeds, amassed followers, and secured the coveted blue tick. Within weeks, Babydoll Archi, also known as Archita Phukan, gained over 1.4 million followers, collaborated with another influencer who had 8 million followers, and became the center of nonstop attention.

But there was a problem, Babydoll Archi wasn’t real. She wasn’t an AI performer creating art, nor a digital artist playing a character. Instead, someone created her entirely using AI-generated visuals, manipulating images and videos of a real woman. That real woman, according to sources, lives in Dibrugarh, Assam. She is married and was suddenly and traumatically thrust into a nightmare of harassment, digital exploitation, and public exposure.

Why did this account get Famous?
“What began as harassment quickly became a lucrative enterprise,” stated Sizal Agarwal, the IPS, SSP in charge of Dibrugarh. Her remarks coincided with the disclosure of what is now a major cyber defamation case that demonstrates the weaponization of generative AI and deepfakes.

Dibrugarh Police arrested Pratim Bora, a mechanical engineer from Tinsukia, Assam, after receiving a cyber defamation complaint on Saturday, July 12. Bora, who worked remotely for a Delhi-based company while studying in Haryana, stood at the center of the Babydoll Archi controversy. According to officials, he manipulated digital content for personal gain.

Agarwal stated that Bora methodically created the Babydoll Archi character by altering photos and generating AI content using a single image of a real woman. Authorities identified his primary motives as personal revenge, attention-seeking behavior, and financial profit.

Why Babydoll Archi is now a Social Issue:
The reality is terrible. An Internet illusion had taken over a woman’s identity, dignity, and peace of mind as she woke up from her usual routine. And the Internet, which is renowned for its quick reactions and sluggish verification, soaked it all up. Despite initial concerns that Phukan’s account might be fraudulent, this occurred. After talking about the risks of artificial intelligence, we must talk about another matter that Phukan’s case brings up: India’s porn issue.

A quick review of Phukan’s Instagram account reveals that numerous bots and individuals are posting links or requesting similar pornographic films in her comment section. According to the police investigation, the accused has used a single photo of the victim to create the content like porn content using AI software such as OpenAI, Midjourney, and many others. As of now, it is unclear how US adult film star Kendra Lust commented on this account, where both lust and Phukan are visible. This issue is still under investigation, and more updates are about to come.
