Nayanthara Reveals Her Comfortable Co-Star

Nayanthara recently discussed her choice to appear in Jawan. The actress disclosed that she only consented to be in the movie because of Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee.

Jawan, an action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, made some of B-town’s lesser-known performers famous. Nayanthara, an Indian actress making her Hindi cinema debut, also acted in the film. However, did you know that King Khan was the only reason the actress agreed to star in the movie? In an interview, she claimed that SRK made her feel “very comfortable,” which is why she consented to work on the movie for Atlee, the director and superstar.

Nayanthara recently discussed her lengthy career in Indian cinema in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India. At this point, she acknowledged that the feelings Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee gave her influenced her choice to appear in Jawan.

She explained further that SRK “made sure that he made me very comfortable” when speaking with her. The Bollywood celebrity took this action because it was the first time in her career that she had entered the Hindi film industry. She did, however, feel love and respect for King Khan after he spoke to her and made her feel at ease.

She so agreed to play Narmada Rai in the action movie just for him and “the little brother,” Atlee. Speaking more about the director, the actress said that, except for a few, she had worked on most of his films, starting with Jawan. As a result, they established an equation in which she would be available for him anytime he needed her or felt she was the best fit for the movie.

“So, for these two people, I mean Jawan was purely for Atlee and dear Shah Rukh sir,” she added.

In September 2024, Nayanthara shared a picture of herself with Shah Rukh Khan from Jawan on her Instagram stories to commemorate the one-year anniversary of her first Hindi movie. She wrote, “One year of Jawan,” beside a photo from their love song.

Jawan became the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023, in case you forgot. In addition to SRK and Nayanthara, the cast included Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and numerous other gifted performers.
