Kangana Ranaut As a Feminist Calls Out ‘Fake Feminism.’Kangana Ranaut, an actor who is also a politician, called the suicide of a technician in Bengaluru who was allegedly harassed by his wife and her family “heartbreaking” on Wednesday. She also denounced “fake feminism” from women who abuse the law to “extort” money from their spouses.
“The entire country is in shock. His video is heartbreaking. Fake feminism is condemnable. Extortion of crores of rupees was being done. Having said that, in 99 percent of marriage cases, it’s the men who are at fault. That’s why such mistakes also happen,” Kangana told news agency PTI.
On Wednesday, a Bengaluru techie brother asserted that males are not legally protected when their spouses mistreat them. In addition, he questioned why there had been no arrests in the case given the seriousness of the offense, and stated that his family is determined to take legal action.
Senior Advocate Vikas Pahwa, who is located in Delhi, told news agency ANI that potential abuse of Section 498A should be taken into consideration and that the judicial system should be reformed. Additionally, he claimed that “few women” now use the section as a means of extortion.
“There are false allegations that are not only filed against the husband but also relative, the in-laws, and others, they are all implicated in this and most of them are false. I am not saying that there are no genuine cases, there are but a majority of them are filed to persuade the husband to settle the matter through some money,” said the advocate.
Pahwa claimed that rather than carrying out initial investigations, the police help resolve marital conflicts through financial means to wrap up open cases. “Unfortunately, I haven’t seen a single case, where the law has been misused and police have taken action against the woman,” he claimed.
