Actors Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur were recently injured during the shoot of their much-anticipated film Dacoit. The incident occurred on set in Hyderabad while filming a high-octane action sequence. Though the injuries were minor, the accident briefly disrupted the shoot, raising fresh concerns over safety on film sets.
According to reports, both actors were actively involved in the stunt scene when the mishap took place. On-site medical assistance was provided immediately. Despite the scare, the shoot wasn’t halted for long. Adivi Sesh reportedly went for a check-up with a physician after first aid, while Mrunal Thakur chose to wrap up her scenes early for the day to avoid further stress.
The accident involving Adivi and Mrunal comes on the heels of several recent on-set incidents in the film industry. Stuntman SM Raju tragically lost his life just days ago while performing a dangerous car stunt for director Pa Ranjith’s upcoming project. His vehicle lost control and flipped during the sequence. Similarly, Shah Rukh Khan also sustained a back injury while shooting an action scene for his next film, King.
These back-to-back mishaps have once again brought attention to the high-risk nature of action filmmaking and the urgent need for tighter safety protocols on sets.
