Veteran actor Anupam Kher met Indian Army officer Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, who recently briefed the media during Operation Sindoor. During their meeting, Anupam Kher presented Col Sofiya Qureshi with his book “Different But No Less”.
Kher posted a picture with her on Instagram, writing, “I was extremely HAPPY and deeply HONOURED to meet Col. Sofiya Qureshi recently and present her my fourth self-help book Different But No Less. She epitomises grace, valour, dignity, and bravery of the Indian Army. Thank you Col. Qureshi for your warmth and appreciation! Jai Hind!”
In June, Kher announced his fourth book, Different But No Less. This follows his earlier bestsellers The Best Thing About You Is You, Lessons Life Taught Me Unknowingly, and Your Best Day Is Today. Calling it “very special,” Kher said the book draws from his personal experiences. “This book is not about storms. It’s about sailing through them… putting your faith in your own self to the test,” he explained in a launch video. The book also shares behind-the-scenes moments from his film Tanvi The Great.
Tanvi The Great, Kher’s latest film, focuses on the Indian Army and autism. The story follows a young girl inspired by her late father to join the armed forces. Anupam Kher plays her grandfather. The film also stars Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Karan Tacker, Arvind Swami, Nasser, and British actor Iain Glen.
Produced by Anupam Kher Studios and NFDC, Tanvi The Great premiered at major international film festivals, including Cannes, New York, London, and Houston. It received standing ovations at previews held at the National Defence Academy and Southern Command in Pune.
