Director Jyothi Krishna has addressed the backlash over substandard VFX in Hari Hara Veera Mallu, calling it a “minor issue.” He acknowledged that a few CGI shots didn’t meet expectations. He pointed out that the film includes around 4,400 CGI shots, and while he knew some wouldn’t be flawless, they never compromised the film’s core storytelling. He emphasized that no one called the screenplay boring or confusing.
Jyothi suggested that trolls target high-profile films for visibility. He stated that negativity often comes from viewers striving for attention by criticizing celebrities. He noted that the film’s premiere screenings sold out, but some critics exaggerated minor VFX flaws into major faults online. He insisted that the audience fixated on graphics, while storyline and narrative remained intact.

Following complaints, the filmmakers reportedly considered re-editing the film to remove or adjust poor VFX shots. These efforts aim to improve viewing experience post-release. Despite the criticism, Jyothi continues to emphasize confidence in his film’s narrative and emotional impact, noting that VFX would never overshadow the storyline’s strength.
