5 Hidden iPhone Notes Features You’re Probably Not Using

iPhone Notes: Many people use the Notes App on their iPhone only for taking notes. But, in fact, it can be used for many things like a personal document scanner, to-do list planner, drawing pad, secret chat tool, etc. It can be said to be an amazing and powerful feature on the iPhone. Let’s take a look at the mind-blowing features of the app.

Scan documents

You can scan documents and save them as PDFs using just the iPhone Notes app, without a scanner.

How to do it?

  • Long press the Notes App
  • Select “Scan Documents”.
  • The camera will open. Take a photo of the document → click “Keep Scan” → “Save”.
  • It will be saved as a scan in the note.

Notes lock

You can lock notes to keep your writing private.

How?

  • Open your written note. Tap the menu at the top.
  • Select “Lock” and set Face ID or a custom password.
  • From now on, Face ID/Code is required to open that note. This way, you can protect your private data, diary, etc.

Convert to PDF

You can save a document written in this app as a PDF.

How?

You open the Note app, click the Share button on the file you are writing. There, select “Send a Copy”. Then select “Markup”. Now you will see a PDF preview. Then click “Done”. It will be saved as a PDF via “Save to Files”.

Tagging

This app allows you to share notes with groups using tags.

How?

In this app, add # before the thing you want to write and tag it. For example, #travel, #work. If these words turn yellow, it means the tag is active. Immediately go to Folders and swipe on it to list all the tags. That way, you can tag the people you like.

Sketch mode

Using the Apple Pencil will immediately launch Sketch mode.

How does it work?

If you have an Apple Pencil or iPad, sketching through the Notes app becomes a wonderful experience. With it, you can instantly digitally record your thoughts, ideas, designs, diagrams, or handwriting.
