Param Sundari First Single Pardesiya Out: Good To Listen But Cringe to Watch?

Param Sundari First Single Pardesiya Out: Good To Listen But Cringe to Watch?

Pardesiya: The first track from the upcoming romantic comedy Param Sundari is out! Called “Pardesiya”, the song features lead stars Janhvi and Sidharth in a romantic montage that promises a dose of love, fun, and cultural conflicts. While the audio is being lauded for its musical sweetness, visuals have received mixed reviews-leaving fans to wonder if the song is actually just about style and no substance.

Charming Melody with Singh Voice

Musically, “Pardesiya” hits the right note. The romantic track is sung by Sonu Nigam and Krishnakali Saha and composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and has a soothing yet vibrant mood. Nigam’s evergreen voice adds depth, making it a song that listeners can enjoy retuning.

The Visuals: Aesthetic or Overdone?

The 2-minute-59-second music video showcases blooming romance between an Indian boy, Param (Sidharth Malhotra). And Sundari (Janhvi Kapoor), a firebrand from Kerala. It opens with scenic bike rides in the mountains filling with picnic scenes, traditional meals, and shopping sprees. While the last few scenes run through, the frame is colorful, but for some viewers, it just seems too staged or clichéd and borders on cringe.

Chemistry and Cultural Contrast

While Janhvi and Sidharth have a fresh on-screen chemistry, the coming cultural tensions are also hinted at through the song. For Param Sundari, emotional north-south love drama would probably be the backbone of the film scheduled for release on August 29.

A Promising Film from a Hitmaker

Param Sundari is produced by Dinesh Vijan, the hitmaker known for Bhediya, Munjya, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Expectations soar high, and “Pardesiya” acts as an appetizer for the forthcoming main course. “Pardesiya” is a melodious beginning to Param Sundari’s music journey. While the song is a good listen, the video may not resonate with everyone. Still, it managed to capture attention, and that is half the battle won.
