Sara Ali Khan is ready to go regional. The Bollywood actor revealed that she’s keen to explore cinema beyond Hindi films. “Cinema transcends geography and language,” she said during an interview. She added that great stories can come from any part of India, and she’s open to working in other languages if the story excites her.
Sara recently completed a film with Ayushmann Khurrana. While she did not share the title, she confirmed that another project is already lined up. Her recent appearances include Metro… In Dino, Sky Force, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Atrangi Re, and Love Aaj Kal. Since her 2018 debut in Kedarnath, she has taken on both commercial and content-driven roles.
Her growing filmography now reflects a shift toward versatility, and her openness to regional films may signal a new phase in her career.
Sara also expressed her desire to act alongside her father, actor Saif Ali Khan. She said it would be an emotional and fulfilling experience. Although the duo has shared screen space in commercials, they have yet to appear in a film together. She remains hopeful it will happen soon.
Sara hinted that she may eventually step into film production. She wants to support stories that highlight strong Indian women and represent diverse voices. She believes that Indian cinema has many untapped stories and wants to be part of telling them either as an actor or a producer.
