The singer expressed his disappointment that the concert infrastructure is very poor and he will stop performing until Problem is Addressed. Diljit Dosanjh said “I want to tell the designated authorities that India does not have the infrastructure for live shows. This is a big revenue-generating space. It also gives livelihood to many. Please focus on this space as well.”
The singer and actor went on to express his concerns regarding the concert experience. “I will try to set up a stage in the middle while the crowd is distributed around it (to improve the concert experience). I will not perform shows here until things improve here. Instead of troubling us, improve the infrastructure.” This pause in concert in India made fans go crazy and they are setting the internet on fire with comments. The disappointed fans have been flooding the comment section expressing their disappointment.
Recently, Diljit Dosanjh performed his concert Dil-Luminati Tour in Hyderabad. Though he was instructed not to sing songs promoting alcohol Diljit Dosanjh performed the concert with the instructions. Diljit said that he was a teetotaler and ready to take a pledge not to sing songs promoting alcohol given the alcohol shops were shut everywhere. In the concert, Diljit Dosanjh tweaked the words in his songs with Lemonade and 5 Taara. These songs originally had daaru which means alcohol and theka which says liquor stores in their lyrics. He intentionally changed the lyrics after receiving the notice from the Telangana government about Alcohol word usage ahead of the Hyderabad concert. The Daaru in the song became ‘Coke’ whereas theka in 5 Taara became a hotel avoiding the controversy.
