Television actor Gurucharan Singh, who rose to fame as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is reportedly in advanced talks to participate in Bigg Boss 19. Media reports confirm that Singh has been approached and that discussions are in the final stages. However, there is no official confirmation from Singh or the show’s creators.
The makers of Bigg Boss 19 have officially announced that the show will premiere on August 24, 2025. Salman Khan returns as the host. The reality show will air on Colors TV and stream on JioCinema. A teaser released on July 25 introduced the theme, followed by a full promo on July 31 featuring Salman.
The list of confirmed housemates has not been revealed. Alongside Gurucharan Singh, other names such as Dheeraj Dhoopar and digital creator Apoorva Mukhija are reportedly in talks. The production team has kept all casting details confidential.
Singh left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2020. In April 2024, reports said he went missing from Delhi and returned home on May 18. He later revealed that he took a spiritual break due to financial struggles.
In early 2025, Singh fasted for several days without food or water, which led to him being hospitalized. His friends said he had undergone extreme fasting. After receiving treatment, he recovered. Reports claim that the producers of Bigg Boss 18 had considered Singh, but he chose not to proceed with the offer.
Recently, Singh shared emotional posts celebrating 17 years of TMKOC, alongside former co-stars like Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal.
