Rishabh Shetty: Kantara, a small Kannada film that released without any big expectations, turned into a massive box office hit and gained nationwide recognition. As is known, the prequel titled Kantara: Chapter 1 has been completed and is set to release on October 2. The latest updates about the film have greatly impressed the audience.

Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with reports that a third party is already in the works. A sequel has been confirmed, and Rishab Shetty has already reached an agreement with the production house, Hombale Films. Now, fresh buzz suggests that Rishab Shetty has significantly increased his remuneration for Kantara 3.

Kantara Chapter 2: A Prequel with High Stakes
With just one film, Rishab Shetty rose to stardom. Interestingly, Kantara Chapter 2 serves as a prequel rather than a sequel to the first film. Rishab handled every aspect of the project himself. Despite facing several challenges during the shoot, including tragic accidents that claimed lives and a major mishap that he narrowly escaped, the team pushed through. Many doubted whether the film would even be completed. Eventually, it wrapped up and is now scheduled for a pan-India release on October 2.

Rishab Shetty’s Fee for Kantara 3?
Although Kantara 2 is yet to hit theatres, plans for the third part are already finalized. Fans are now curious, will this next chapter wrap up the story or lead to yet another sequel? Industry reports suggest that Rishab Shetty has raised his remuneration for Kantara 3, now demanding up to ₹200 crore. As he’s not only acting but also directing the film, the producers seem willing to meet his demands.

Currently, Rishab is also lined up for multiple big projects. He’s set to star in Jai Hanuman, directed by Prashanth Varma. Additionally, he’ll appear in a historical action drama from Sithara Entertainments, to be directed by Rajamouli’s protégé Ashwin Gangaraju. Rumors are also circulating about his lead role in a biopic on Sri Krishna Devaraya, with an official announcement expected soon.
