Upasana Konidela: The Government of Telangana has established the board of governors for the Telangana Sports Hub under the Sports Policy 2025. For this announcement, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has taken part in the event has addressed the excellence in sports, transparency, and encouraging grassroots-level talent.
Following this Managing Director of UR Life and chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, has been appointed as co-chairperson for the Telangana Sports Hub. Upasana is a well-known wellness advocate and businesswoman who has spearheaded many youth and fitness-related projects. Her inclusion shows the government’s dedication to including athlete welfare and holistic health in sports development.
Every person on the board is excited to have her in the sports hub, as her leadership is going to influence the welfare-driven policies and also sports education. It is said that the new board members might be focusing on sustainable infrastructure in the sports field. By adding the private sector expertise in the state sports hub, this is going to expand the sports ecosystem even more in the state.

Telangana sports hub is going to be operated through a Public-Private Partnership with a few reputed corporations and sports professionals. To guarantee the open and effective use of resources, the recently established Board will also supervise the Telangana Sports Development Fund (TSDF). With priority areas spanning from talent identification to top-notch training and infrastructure, the program represents a significant turning point in Telangana’s journey to become a national and international sporting powerhouse.
