Chinese actress Zhao Lusi has made serious allegations against her management agency, Galaxy KU Media, accusing them of financial manipulation and emotional abuse. The actress, known for roles in Hidden Love and The Romance of Tiger and Rose, shared her distressing experiences on Weibo, revealing how the agency mishandled her health and finances.
Zhao claims that during her time filming Almost Lover in December 2023, when her health deteriorated rapidly, her agency ignored her medical needs. She alleges they locked her in a hotel room instead of providing treatment, calling her “cursed” when she fell ill. She further stated that she was forced to continue working even while losing the ability to walk and talk, with reports suggesting she used a wheelchair and oxygen support on set.
The actress also accused Galaxy KU Media of withdrawing 2.05 million yuan (approximately $350k) from her studio’s account without authorization. Zhao claims that the agency forced her team to agree to an unfair earnings split, dismantling her studio without her consent and withholding operational control.
Zhao said she was threatened with blacklisting if she spoke out or pursued legal action against the agency. “They told me I might be blacklisted and should stay quiet,” she said, expressing her frustration at their lack of support during her most vulnerable moments.
