Nutrients in mutton:

Mutton is very good for health. In addition to being rich in protein, it provides the body with essential vitamins and minerals. Consuming mutton in the right amount helps the body increase energy and immunity.

How to cook mutton?

If you are using a gas stove while cooking mutton, always try to cook on low flame. This is the best way to make your mutton juicy and tender. Another important thing that we need to remember while cooking mutton is that we should wash the mutton well. Make sure that it is dry before starting cooking.

How long should you soak mutton?

To enhance the flavor of mutton curry, you can soak the meat in yogurt and vinegar overnight. If you don’t have time, use raw papaya peel paste, nutmeg or pineapple pulp. Another alternative to yogurt is buttermilk. You can also add lemon juice and vinegar. If you can’t soak the mutton overnight, soak it for at least 45 minutes before cooking. The longer you soak it, the faster it will cook. The mutton piece will also be very tender.

Ginger

While cooking mutton, add grated ginger/ginger paste. By doing this, the mutton cooks well. Due to the proteolytic enzymes present in ginger, the mutton becomes tender quickly. Usually we add ginger garlic paste to mutton curry. But first add grated ginger and after the meat is cooked, add ginger garlic paste.

Papaya

While cooking mutton, adding pieces of raw papaya makes the curry much easier. While the mutton is cooking in the cooker, add a piece of raw papaya and close the lid. This will not only cook the meat tenderly but also make it soft. The enzyme papain in papaya breaks the bonds in the meat. The enzymes in papaya help the mutton cook faster. Do not add too much papaya. Doing this will change the taste of the curry. Just four or five pieces are enough.

Yogurt

Soak the mutton in yogurt for an hour before cooking. Soaking the meat in yogurt for an hour helps it cook faster.

Tomato

Add tomato paste to the mutton. The acidity in the tomato helps the meat cook faster. Adding tomatoes makes the curry tastier.

Salt

Wash the mutton well and mix it with rock salt. Soak it for an hour. The salt draws out the water from the meat. The mutton absorbs the salt. Doing this will not only make the mutton tender but also tasty.
