D Mart Discount: DMarts, which were once limited to metro cities, have now expanded to district centers as well. Discounts are usually available in DMarts. However, if you follow some tips while shopping, you can get huge discounts and save a lot.
Usually, many people go to DMart on Saturdays and Sundays. Since it is a weekend holiday, people tend to queue up in large numbers. However, if you want to shop peacefully without crowds, it is better to go from Tuesday to Thursday. New stock arrives on these days, so there is a greater chance that the necessary items will be available. You will also get fresh items.
Some products in DMart come in the name of “DMart Value Pack” or “Combo Offer”. These are available in larger quantities at a lower price than the regular price. Compare the tag price on the shelf with the MRP printed on the packet and buy. You can save Rs. 20–30 on each item. Doing this will make a big difference in your total bill.
If you want to buy clothes, school items, and seasonal items for kids, go in Ma rch or July-August. Season-end sales are held during this time. You can get up to 70% off on items like T-shirts, jackets, socks, and bags. The old stock is cleared before the new season stock arrives. This is the time when big discounts are offered.
Festival offers, bank cashbacks
During festivals like Diwali, Sankranti or during season end sales, DMart ties up with some banks. During this time, if you make payments through PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM UPI, etc., the discount will be shown immediately at the billing counter. Some credit/debit cards also offer an additional 5–10% discount.
DMart displays the latest offers on digital boards near the billing counter or inside the store. Check them out before you shop. Also, bring your own bag and save Rs. 5–15 on plastic bag charges. It is best to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon during peak hours. It gets very crowded after 5 pm.
