For the past four weeks, she’s been starting her day with a single clove of garlic on an empty stomach. “This tiny clove is a powerhouse for immunity, gut health, inflammation, and overall balance,” she said, calling it “ancient wisdom that still holds strong.”

Soha explained that she chews the garlic clove for as long as she can to release allicin, a natural compound believed to have health benefits and then swallows it with water. For those who find it too strong, she suggests crushing the clove and letting it sit for 10 minutes before consuming.

Is Raw Garlic  Really That Healthy?

Experts do agree that it raw has proven benefits. It’s rich in antioxidants, supports heart health, and boosts the immune system thanks to compounds like allicin. Garlic also has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, which can help protect against infections and chronic diseases.


But There’s a Catch

Despite its benefits, raw garlic is not for everyone. It can cause digestive discomfort, especially in people with sensitive stomachs or acid reflux. It is also known for causing strong body odour and bad breath. Moreover, those on blood thinners should be cautious, it can also increase bleeding risk.
